Admissions planning is the piece of the college planning jigsaw puzzle over which your student has complete control.

Students can almost always lower their/their parents' cost of college by doing two things:

1. Get excellent grades, all the way through high school (including second semester seniors!).
2. Get excellent scores on the SATs.

We can show parents actual cases where the excellent student that was accepted to Penn or Princeton paid less for her college education than had she gone to Penn State or Rutgers.  This is largely due to the fact that elite private colleges have more money available in financial aid than do the public colleges.  Thing is - Mom, Dad and Student do not get the benefit of the sweet financial aid packages if Student does not get in.  [Mom, Dad: Show this page to Your Student!]

That said, for each student, EFS employs a process called "Strategic Application" or as some might call it, "student positioning." This is NOT "Apply to two 'stretches,' 'two probables,' and 'two safeties.'"  It is the application of data to determine which colleges are the best fit for the student and which students are the best fit for the college, in order to increase the chances the student will obtain merit-based aid.

Once again, Education Funding Solutions (EFS) offers an amazingly-robust academic/SAT tutoring package online, through our Success division.  For more details, click here
